Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Introduction

QuietFleet (the "Site") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our tools and content. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use our EV calculators, finder, or comparison tools.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to operate and improve the Site:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent — collected anonymously via Google Analytics.
  • Device & Browser Data: IP address (anonymised), browser type, operating system, screen resolution — standard web analytics data.
  • Cookie Data: See Section 3 below for details on cookies we use.
  • Affiliate Referral Data: When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may place a cookie to attribute the sale — see Section 4.

We do not collect: names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., via email inquiry).

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies:

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie consent banner. Choosing "Essential Only" will disable analytics and advertising cookies while keeping the site fully functional.

You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Instructions are available at aboutcookies.org.

4. Google AdSense & Advertising

QuietFleet uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.

When you choose "Essential Only" or disable advertising in our cookie banner, Google AdSense will serve non-personalised ads (contextual ads based on page content, not user behaviour). This is compliant with GDPR requirements for valid consent.

Google's advertising privacy practices are detailed in How Google Uses Data When You Use Our Partners' Sites.

5. Affiliate Links Disclosure

QuietFleet participates in affiliate marketing programs including Amazon Associates (Amazon Services LLC Associates Program), EV Bandit, and Awin. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase within a specific time window, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

These affiliate partners use cookies to attribute the sale back to us. We do not receive any personally identifiable information about you from these transactions — only anonymised commission data.

6. GDPR & UK GDPR Compliance (EEA/UK Users)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data where there is no compelling reason to continue processing.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service.
  • Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@quietfleet.tech. We will respond within 30 days as required by law.

Lawful basis for processing: We rely on your consent (via the cookie banner) for analytics and advertising cookies. Essential cookies are processed under our legitimate interest in providing a functional website.

7. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share anonymised usage data with:

  • Google Analytics — site analytics (see Google's privacy policy)
  • Google AdSense — advertising (see Google's privacy policy)
  • Amazon Associates, EV Bandit, Awin — affiliate attribution

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.2+), secure server configuration, and limited data retention periods. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

QuietFleet is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately at legal@quietfleet.tech and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate (including the United States). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required by GDPR.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via a notice on the Site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
